The Ida B. Wells Education Project was formed on June 8, 2020, in the midst of a worldwide uprising against racism. We are a collective of classroom educators who came together in that moment to ask: “How can we center Black history, Black struggle and Black life in our curriculum? How can we empower young people to lead in powerful movements for change?”
